NUS Scotland

As Press and Public Affairs Officer at NUS Scotland, I was responsible for all press, communications strategy, and public relations for a national organisation representing over 500,000 students in Scotland.

This role gave me direct control over project development and creation, social media content distribution, campaign design and analysis; in addition to implementing a robust pro-active media strategy for the organisation, leading to resonating success, increased online traction and social media traffic as well as positive print and broadcast media coverage. This position, in addition to others throughout my career, has developed my successful track record in creating resonating, case-study based stories, humanising and demonstrating the key messages within my media output.

This position further strengthened my broadcast, filming and editing skills, engaging through various training programmes and briefing senior officers within the organisation on media handling and press engagement.
